A MUST HAVE.<br />If you have delicate fair and Oil skin, this shield is what you need! It's probably The only one I've tried so far that makes my skin breath! (I always buy renowned brands, and have not find any other that had felt so light on my skin - not from Clinique, not from Eester Lauder, not from Shiseido, not from Origins, to name some that got into my search).<br />I'm highly sensitive to ANYTHING I put in my skin... Texture matters, letting my skin breath matters, protecting and treating my skin is a top priority, and also the fragrance of products matter.<br /><br />This amazing Immortelle brightening shield was such a great find that now I'm in trouble trying to find a replacement as L'Occitane seems to have discontinued it... What a shame!<br /><br />In general, L'Occitane products are wonderful also because they use essential oils in their formulation, which gives it just the right kick one wants for a natural treatment with incredible smell!

I am reordering this product because it is the best one I have found that gives my skin an even tone<br />and lightens dark spots. It is also super as a sun block. It also moisturizes, even though this is not<br />made as a claim.

This is an excellent product. I've been using this for almost a year now, and will continue to buy it. I have read the other two reviews, and my experience with it is far more favorable. I was looking for a fluid, non oily sunscreen to use under my mineral makeup or under my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. This turned out to be perfect. It has a milky consistency (not oily) and absorbs almost immediately and leaves a smooth finish (not sticky or oily). It does have a brightening effect after application. Any kind of makeup can be applied over it. It has SPF 40, which is very difficult to find. And the sunscreen lasts all day long. I never ever burn after applying this, even when I've been outside in the sun for hours. I will agree that the pump doesn't work great (hence the 4 stars). I've learned to just press the pump lightly into the palm of my hand, to reduce the odds of it spraying or streaming out irregularly. But that doesn't keep me from wanting to continue using it. One small bottle also lasts a long time (like 6 months or more)... because a little goes a long way.
