Very finely milled! Doesn’t look like have powder on!

Overall, I think this is a great powder! I love how finely milled it is! It’s so soft and velvety on the skin! It doesn’t look like I have powder on, but sets my makeup in place. It looks and feels nice on the skin. You get a good amount of product. I’m really happy with it! The only thing I don’t like is how hard the lid is to twist initially. I also don’t like the product page talking about natural ingredients - baichi flower seed oil and jojoba seed oil - being in the powder and that not being on the ingredient list. So, I took a star off for that. But, other than that, I recommend this powder. If like me, you don’t usually like powders and the only ones you do like are finely milled, you’ll love this powder! If you’ve had trouble finding powders that work for you. If they tend to make your skin look dry, powdery, or cakey. I recommend trying this one out!

This comes in an outer product box. It is made in China. It has a cruelty free logo (PETA). The ingredients are listed on the back. It includes mica and parabens.

It’s odd because the product page states that it’s made of “natural safe ingredients” and has “baichi flower seed oil water-oil balance, long-lasting makeup” and “jojoba seed oil moisturize the skin,” but neither of those ingredients are found in the ingredient list on the back of the product box. So, I don’t understand where that comes from? I hate when there’s what seems like blatantly false claims on a product page. It makes me not trust anything from the brand.

The jar of powder is square. It’s a good size. It is plastic. The bottom is clear but frosted and matte. The top has the same design as the front of the box. It has a nice look to it.

I hate to say it, but how to get the top off had me a little confused at first 🙈 I initially thought it would twist off, but when I went to twist it, it didn’t seem to want to move. Then, I thought, well since it’s square, maybe it will pull off. So, I carefully tried to pull the top off, but it didn’t want to budge. Then, I tried twisting it again, this time really putting effort into it and it finally moved and I got it off. At first it seemed like it only went halfway, but wouldn’t twist any more (again, I was being careful because I didn’t want powder getting everywhere). Then, I just lifted it up and it came off. I thought after the first time it would be easier to get the top off, but it wasn’t. You still really need to put some elbow grease into it every single time, which is annoying. If you have trouble with things like that, this might not be the powder for you. There was a clear sticker covering the holes, which I always appreciate! So, had I yanked the top off, Powder wouldn’t have gotten everywhere! But, you never know since some brands don’t do that! But, I’m glad this one did!

Another thing, I kind of wish the part with the holes, where the powder is, I wish it was square like the jar. I always dump powder into the lid and dip my brush into that. Then, whatever powder I have left, I dump back into the jar. Usually, I can just take the cap with the leftover powder and carefully put it on and the powder will fall into the main part. With this, if I do that the powder gets down on the edges of the jar (see photos), so I always have to make sure to carefully dump the powder back in before putting the lid on.

I had a hard time deciding which shade I wanted to get. Usually, I go with translucent. But, sometimes I like a little extra coverage from a skin toned powder. But, this powder had an option for a pink powder, and I always heard pink was good for brightening, so then I thought about that one! The descriptions on the middle of the product page didn’t really help. For #1, “Ivory White,” it said, “Suitable for fair skin. Create white makeup.” I was initially thinking this one was translucent, until I read the description. I’m fair skinned, but I don’t know what they mean by white makeup. But, it seemed like it was going to have a white tint to it, which I didn’t want. For #2, “Natural Color” they had, “Suitable for any race. Create light makeup.” If it’s “suitable for any race” that would imply it’s translucent, but it didn’t look translucent. It looked like a fair skin toned color. For #3, “Soft Pink,” it had, “Suitable for pink skin. Create a glossy, ruddy makeup.” I have fair skin and I’m cool toned, so pink skin makes sense. Glossy doesn’t seem too bad, but I’m not sure what they meant by that. Do they mean it’s going to give a glow? And who wants ruddy makeup? See how confused I was! 🤦‍♀️

I thought I ended up going with #2 “Natural Color,” and the box mine came in had “#2” on the top flap, but when I looked at the color of the powder through the frosted clear bottom it looked soft pink. When I first dumped some out into the lid it looked soft pink. But, when I swatched it, it seemed more of a fair skin toned color. So, I THINK I got the right shade (#2 Natural Color). It definitely works for my fair skin. But, I don’t see how this would be “suitable for any race.” To me, it seems like it blends out MOSTLY transparent. But, it does seem like there might be a HINT of fair shade/white to it, so I’m not sure if it will work for medium to darker skin tones.

The powder is very finely milled. It has almost a velvety feel when you touch it. I am 35, have normal to dry skin with some extremely dry areas, and suffer from hormonal acne. In my experience, most powders make my skin look dry or powdery or cakey, so I only like using powder in specific places where I absolutely need it. Even then, there’s only a handful of powders I like for that purpose that look good on my skin. This has become one of those! Out of the handful of powders I like on my skin, the one thing they all have in common is that they are all VERY finely milled. I find that the more fine the powder is, the less it looks like you have powder on your face. It just sets my makeup in place in my oily areas without making it look dry/powdery/cakey.
