Close shave
Closest shave I've ever had without irritation. The smooth metal finish is slippery So be careful but other than that it's solid and well built.
Great razor that can be as gentle or aggressive as you'd like it to be
This clone of the Merkur Futur adjustable was way better than I expected. I've been using it for legs and underarms, primarily, for about 4 months. I find it to be built with good quality -- it provides a close shave, adjusts smoothly, and the head seems to be set pretty even on both sides. I found no issue even when shaving more oddly-shaped hills and valleys. I feel that the razor has pretty good grip as long as your hands aren't slathered in soap. It also comes with 5 high quality Dorco blades in a little plastic dispenser that can also be used to store used blades in a separate compartment until you're ready to dispose of it.

To clean and change blades, you have to be a little careful because you need to pop the top cover of the razor's head off to do it. I grab the handle firmly and turn the razor as though it's a tiny hammer, then use the other hand to gently pop/pivot the top cover off with the thumb and index finger.

One thing I learned from YouTube is that this and other Futur clones like the QShave -- you can adjust the head's gap width further, if you prefer a more aggressive razor. When you get to level 6, squeeze the entire razor head together then twist the dial clockwise again -- you will bypass the locking mechanism and reach level 1 again. You'll see the gap widen on the head. In this "mode", level 1 technically becomes level 7 and so on. I prefer mine this way, although the razor's perfectly good as it comes out of the box. To get back to the default gap width settings, move back to level 1 (i.e. 7), squeeze the head again and twist the dial counterclockwise until you're back at level 6.

I've not ever used a real Futur so I don't know how well it mimics that one in actual performance but, from what I understand, these clone razors mostly vary from the original in weight and minor design differences (apparently the original Merkur patent expired, making way for these clones). What I can tell you is that this one's a great deal for the money.

One other thing to note: This week, I began to really understand that we have a major condensation issue in our bathroom (There's no exhaust fan and only a tiny window.) While some other metal items began to show some rust, this razor is one of the few things that doesn't have a single spot on it anywhere. Given the price, that's definitely evidence of higher quality materials than I would have expected.
Gives me a predictable shave exactly when I need it ...
Gives me a predictable shave exactly when I need it. It is a bit bulky on the head and the handle may seem a bit slippery but all in all it provides a quality shave.
Flexible shave settings; Use towel to assemble and diasseble razor to avoid cutting fingers.
Pros
1) Easily adjustable aggressiveness of shave (such that less passess of the shaver over the face is needed to produce a clean shave when set closer to 6 of 6 where the safety guide is farther from the blade edge as compared to 1 of 6 where the safety guide is closer to the blade edge.

2) Silver plating of shaver works well with trig silver plated edge blades to avoid: skin irritation, skin inflammation and shaving skin leading to bleeding.

3) Sleek form.

Cons
1) Need to use a heavy face towel to remove head of shaver from body to clean blade and shaver body. Also need to use said towel to assemble shaver: On towel razor cover is first placed, then razor blade, then press razor mount attached to handle onto cover sandwiching blade. This way of assembling and disassembling razor avoids cutting fingers.

2) Razor mount on handle has two holes where debris from shaving can get caught as well as residual moiture from wet shaving. Need to rinse mount, then wipe dirh paper towel, then dry with hair dryer.
What a Bargain
I have been using this razor for several weeks now and just love it. However, I'd shy away from the blades that came with it. Adjusting the blade is a breeze and it just plain looks classy.
Five Stars
It’s the best safety razor I own...
A Sturdy Built Adjustable Double Edge Razor 🪒
I purchased the razor after I no longer could buy replacement cartridges locally for my Schick Hydro. Also, I contemplated for years about trying a double edge razor but felt nervous about cutting myself. However, since this razor is adjustable gave me the confidence to try one. At first, I used the number one position to avoid any mishaps. After a few uses, I felt confident and used the razor at the number two position. I finally found for myself the sweet spot for a close and smooth shave is slightly past the number three on the adjustment dial. In conclusion, I am happy with the razor for the price and will never use any other type of razor as long as the double edge razor exists.
Wunderbar!
For an adjustable straight blade, this is nearly impossible to beat. You also get 5 Dorco blades; Dorco are some of the best blades you can buy.
