I'm not sure if it really has real hair in it but it works well. Only complaint is that it's difficult to make straight parts with it. I recommend washing it after receiving with a deep conditioner and de-tangler. It made the hair on mine a lot easier to work with. Warning: at first a lot of hair falls out, but that's normal and to be expected. Especially for this kind of deal. After the initial washing/brushing it will only fall out a tiny bit, like a normal humans hair.
