Great nail lamp!
This was a nice little gel nail lamp. It's 48 watts and can cure both LED and UV gel polish (please note that it doesn't cure regular nail polish-- it only cures gel polish). It's light-weight and easy to use. It cures gel polish and builder gel thoroughly and quickly. Doesn't take up much space. Very affordable. You can use it for gel manicures AND pedicures if you wish. I once designed my very own set of press-on nails, as well as made swatch sticks of various gel polish brands and colors using this lamp and it worked great for what I needed.<br /><br />My only recommendations to anyone interested in using this lamp is to use very then coats of gel for each layer (2-3 coats). Cure each coat according to manufacture instructions (typically 30-60 seconds, sometimes 90 seconds for black or extremely darker colors). Use a base coat, if necessary. If you are using regular nail polish with your gel polish, polish each coat thinly and use a quick dry top coat to speed up drying time. MAKE SURE THE REGULAR POLISH IS COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE PROCEEDING TO GEL POLISH. Let the lamp warm up before using it (at least 5-10 minutes). Clean your nails & clear them of any dead skin or cuticles around the nail plate. Trim & file your nails and GENTLY buff the surface of your nails before applying gel polish to them. If you do this you will get the most out of this lamp and your gel manicures/pedicures.
Great for toes...thumbs can cause woes
There is a small issue with long nails, but for normal length this is great! Perfect for toes.<br /><br />My only hang up is that it is super sensitive and doesn't keep my last setting so if I just did 60 seconds I have to click the button again.
