original clairol herbal essence
I have been exhaustively searching for THE original Clairol Herbal Essence shampoo that was popular in the 1970's with no success. I thought I would give Mirthas Herbal Fresh Shampoo a try, and was I happily surprised at how similar (not an exact match) it reminds me of the original Herbal Essence shampoo. I also purchased Mill Creek Jojoba Shampoo and Aubrey Organics Camomile Luxurious Volumizing Shampoo. When I use these shampoo's together, the scent of the Mirthas Herbal Fresh shampoo is enhanced and further reminds me of the original Herbal Essence shampoo. The reason for 4 stars is not unlike the original Herbal Essence shampoo, Mirthas Herbal Fresh Shampoo is a bit drying to the hair. For me, however, the reason why I purchased this shampoo was the hope that it would smell similar to the original Herbal Essence. And, it comes close. The scent also does not bother me, as I am sensitive to many fragrances.
