Stylish

Nice to have a deodorant that does not damage the environment each time we finish using it. This one comes with a holder (can be reused and doesn't need to be discarded) and a cartridge that can be replaced when it's done.<br /><br />It's pricy, but extremely stylish. The matt (not too shiny) steel finish gives it a very elegant look.

To my surprise, this deodorant actually works

Following many years of regular scented Speed Stick, I started using cedarwood and sandalwood variants of Every Man Jack deodorant a few years ago. And a few months ago, I started experimenting with other natural deodorants such as santal and eucalyptus variants of Salt & Stone. While I especially like the santal variant of Salt & Stone, it also comes with a price tag considerably higher than Every Man Jack. And while product claims state its 48-hour effectiveness after application, this feature doesn't really benefit me as a daily showerer. Until coming across this Modeo product, I had never heard of a natural mineral crystal deodorant. While the natural aspect of this product appeals to me, my curiosity peaked when reading about another reviewer's experience using a single stick of crystal deodorant for 12 years. I've used Modeo every day for the past week, and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Coincidentally, I received my stick in the mail at the same time I developed a rash in my underarms, typically resulting in a stinging experience when applying deodorant products regardless of ingredients. Modeo caused no pain or stinging, and I have since gotten past a rash that would typically take a couple weeks to disappear. While this product may be scentless, I am definitely not scentless sans deodorant. Speaking of which, I've typically passed the scent test of an especially scent sensitive family member this past week. I used the word "typically" because while they detected absolutely no bad odor after the first day of my using Modeo, they did sense a hint of bad odor after subsequent days. That said, they've typically reached the same conclusion after my use of other deodorants, meaning this product is relatively status quo when it comes to odor protection - a good thing especially when considering the months (if not years) I expect this deodorant to last.

Stylish and environmentally friendly

I have used a natural mineral crystal deodorant before, and love it. The price on this will seem to be very high, but you have to understand that these types of deodorant last a LONG time. I say it will last a long time because the one I had previously I had been using for probably 12 years or so and it was still going strong - until I dropped it and shattered it (oops!). Be mindful of the breakage possibility - especially if you have granite countertops. I appreciate the environmentally friendly nature of the product, and also that it is a natural product and doesn’t contain the things that most deodorants contain (aluminum, for example) that are bad for you. Just wet it and rub it under your arms and you are good to go. It works very well at preventing any underarm odors. Note that it is a deodorant and not an anti-perspirant. Another thing that I *really* appreciate is that it doesn’t stain clothes either. I wear a lot of black shirts and regular deodorant always gets on the shirt when I pull it over my head… this doesn’t do that. Overall a very nice, stylish product that is. not as expensive as you might initially think since it will last for years and years (as long as you don’t drop it!).
