I've been flying forty years and I can't count all the nights I've spent in hotels--so I'm going to claim a little knowledge about what's handy on a trip. I like separate compartments for different missions. The one end pocket protects my razor; the other is handy for all sorts of little things like nail clippers, cough drops, styptic pencil, whatever. The flat zipper compartments are good for a comb, band-aids or other flat items--you can keep little flat containers of aspirin separate from the wet items. This design is raire; I had a similar bag for 10 years and spent five years looking for one to replace it--so be sure to bookmark this one in case you can't find one that suits your needs better! This is good quality leather and though I've only had it a few weeks, it seems sturdy enough to hold up for many more trips.
