Beautiful Multichrome Pigments!
[[VIDEOID:bde866136544c24b41b9800127851a48]] These come with the 2 jars in a little bubble wrap bag. Inside the jars are held together with some strong plastic sealing (see photos). I really liked that because it helped ensure the jars didnโt break or the lids didnโt come loose and end up with powder everywhere! So I loved that!

The jars are plastic. On the lids is a sticker with the brand name, itโs placed on there unevenly so probably done by hand. The lids twist off and thereโs a protective seal on the jars inside. Be VEEEERRRYYY careful when you pull off the protective seals. They are easy to lift and pull off, but I ended up dropping one of the seals after I took it off and it got pigment all over (see photos). I donโt have nails, which probably would have helped me hold onto them. In hindsight I should have used tweezers to pull them off. But, no big deal! The jars are both look to be filled up pretty evenly and the jars are pretty full.

These are beautiful! The shift is definitely more noticeable with the teal one than it is with the purple, but they are still both really beautiful. The shifts I see with the teal are the dark teal color, a brighter teal, dark purple, a pinky purple and a dark green. The shifts I see with the are the purple color, a royal blue color, a brighter blue, and a pinky purple.

These are loose pigments. I touched my finger on the jar to pick some up and swiped it onto my arm. It goes on pretty thin and then when I try to build it up, that only works so well....if I put a swipe on then add another swipe it builds up okay. But, if I try to add more swipes than that, it kind of moves the pigment around and I end up getting uneven areas. When you try to apply them with a brush, a brush picks the pigment up really well, but when you go to apply it, it just kind of blends it away. The more you try to add, the more it seems to blend away. But, since these are pigments, they really should be applied to a sticky base. I always use NYX Multitasker Mixing Medium as glitter glue, but really itโs to use to mix in with loose pigments. So, I took a very tiny dot of the NYX Multitasker Mixing Medium and put that onto my arm. Then, I took a brush and picked up a small amount of pigment. I applied the pigment I picked up with the brush onto the area I put the NYX Mixing Medium. The pigment stuck to it really easily and made it look beautiful - smooth, pigmented. The NYX Multitasker Mixing Medium is just a clear gel like consistency. You get a sticky area wherever you apply it. So, you donโt have to use a mixing medium. Anything that leaves a sticky area for the pigment to grab onto will work, like glitter glue, cream eyeshadow, concealer - just apply it while the product is still wet. I show a photo of the teal where I applied it on the NYX Multitasker Mixing Medium, on a white cream eyeshadow, and on a concealer (LA Girl Pro Conceal in Fairest). I also have a photo of the purple where I applied it on the NYX Multitasker Mixing Medium, on a white cream eyeshadow, and on a concealer (LA Girl Pro Conceal in Fairest). They all held onto the pigment perfectly and the pigment looked beautiful! I also tried all 3 as bases with the pigment on my eyes and they worked just as well. They lasted all day without fading. I definitely want to try more colors!

Overall, I think these are beautiful multichrome pigments! They have beautiful shifts. As I said, I can see the shifts in the teal one a lot easier than in the purple one, but thatโs usually the case when I have dark purple multichromes - for me, it always seems like itโs harder to tell the different shifts in a dark purple. In my opinion, most multichromes are usually pretty pricey. At the time of this review, these 2 multichrome pigments were $25, so thatโs $12.50 a piece. Considering you get a little jar full of pigment, I donโt think thatโs too bad. For example, a JD Glow multichrome eyeshadow (pressed in a pan) is $15. I donโt mind paying more for an eyeshadow over a pigment because I just prefer working with eyeshadows pressed into a pan rather than loose pigments. So, for these jars to end up being $12.50 each, I donโt think thatโs too bad. They look beautiful and perform well!
Great product, but the packaging could really use some improvement
The colors are every bit as vibrant as they look on the website. The shadow goes on easy/smoothly and stays on until you take it off. The problem I have with the product is the packaging . Opening the jar for the first time, it has a seal that needs to be removed. There isn't actually a tab to pull to open it, so I struggled getting it open. Once I got a little bit of the tab peeled open the seal slipped into the jar and spilled the shadow everywhere. In addition, the jars are so small they're hard to hold on to. The jar is about the size of a quarter. The four stars instead of five is due to the packaging.
