I use it every other day on my face.
Mild exfoliation
I bought two of these to try and ended up giving one to a friend. I haven't heard from her yet, but I really like mine. It's easy to use and makes my skin feel smooth after washing it with this funny little sponge. It expands and softens in warm water and does a great job cleaning with mild exfoliation.
Kings of Sweden Natural Konjac Sponge
If you try one of these sponges, you will never go back to a wash cloth. They are awesome and really clean. Just due to the Sponge's Nature, it absorbs from it's surroundings including your dirty face. Just use mild soap to clean it out later for fresh use the next time.

Konjac sponges seem to be the new "it" product in skin care. Konjac root sounded familiar. The summer before last, I was eating shirataki noodles, which are made from konjac root. Who knew I'd be using it on my face this year:)?<br /><br />I have sensitive, reactive, allergic, rosacea skin. By definition, rosacea skin doesn't tolerate exfoliation. I can use gentle exfoliating products on my chin, nose and forehead. My cheeks are my most reactive area and I stay clear of them. When I was reading that konjac sponges are really gentle and you can use them on really sensitive skin for everyday exfoliation without irritating the skin, I thought these might be for me. Ordered the King of Sweden Natural Konjac Sponges. Read the directions and started using one. I've used it four days in a row and have to say that it doesn't irritate my skin. They come in other "flavors," charcoal, clay and green tea. I'm looking forward to trying the others.<br /><br />While researching these, I found out some other interesting things. They will take off make up if you use a cleanser and water. They won't heal acne unless you use the ones with charcoal. Depending who you believe, the shelf life is one month--you can kill bacteria by soaking in boiling water or putting in the microwave (in water) for one minute. You are supposed to toss them when they break down. They dry more quickly then a washcloth, so less bacteria. Whatever it is, I'm sold and will continue using.<br /><br />I received these at a discount for an honest review.
So weird!
I never thought I would sing praise to a sponge made from konjac root. The first time I had heard of these type of sponges I thought it sounded kind of weird, yet interesting. The only experiences I have had with konjac root was when I would ingest it, in pill form, to aid in a fuller feeling belly. Gotta love diet hacks. Anyways, an offer came around for me to try a set of discounted sponges for review. I thought, โthese seem crazy and awkward. I must try them!โ<br /><br />The second I opened up the package to take a look my daughter gasped and said, โyou got those? Can I have one? I have been wanting one so bad but they are expensive.โ Well, with this brand, you get the same exact product that are sold in stores for insane amounts of dollars, for a screaming, affordable price. Two sponges come in a box so I handed one over to her. She was so excited. โจโจI have slightly oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. My daughter has very oily and is also acne prone. This sponge cleanses and exfoliates without over drying. There is something about the way it holds water that feels really soft, gentle, yet effective. It is the direct opposite of what it feels like when it is dry - hard and scratchy. It does take some time to incorporate enough water into it, for the sponge to fully absorb the water, to be soft enough to use on your face. As you rub it across your skin it feels good and soft. I use light pressure while I use it for light exfoliation. I like the flat end for my forehead, cheeks and neck and the rounded end for my chin, nose, sides of nose and cheeks (near the side of my nose) and between my eyebrows. I feel like I am able to get a good cleansing in all areas. I use a small amount of cleanser. I use my hands to apply my cleanser and then use the sponge. My face is way smoother and makeup glides on nicely. My daughter reports the same thing. She loves the sponge and its benefits it gives.<br /><br />My only slight criticism is the attached string. I do not see how it can be secure for long but who am I to know? I have never used one of these. It just feels a little like one pull could rip through the sponge. I do appreciate it having a string, though. It makes it super easy to hang-dry the sponge so all sides are/can be exposed to well circulated air. It does take quite a while for it to dry. Still, it is the only sponge of its kind and as weird as it is, it works.
