There is a smell not gonna lie. It doesn't smell DIRTY, just like... chemicals mixed with a hair salon. But once you wash it, it goes away and it's not even that much shedding. I made 53 medium/long locs with jt and still had enough to make a quick crochet wig. Great color and deal for the price.
