Smells great!
Love these! Woodland Ranger is the best! Great scents and for trial size tins, you get a lot. I use it daily and still have 1/4 tin left since Christmas! Highly recommend!
Love these scents
I have been looking forward to trying these scents out after I purchased a sample pack of Oak City's regular scents. Cologne scents are very subjective, but I love these four. Uncle Jack has a nice leathery, manly scent. Snow Leopard has hints of peppermint and vanilla and sandalwood. It will be a nice holiday scent. Barista smells like coffee and cocoa and is different but nice. Woodland Ranger is very pine forest. I love the scent of pine, so this one might be my favorite. Overall, I love just about all the Oak City scents I've tried and have become a big fan of solid colognes in general. Oak City makes a quality product. As I said, liking scents is subjective. But you can't go wrong trying a sample pack.
Great sample pack!
Nice set. This is my first purchase of any solid cologne, glad I got this sample pack. I'm a huge fan of woodsy type scents, these hit it on the mark! Woodland ranger is my favorite but Snow Leopard is a cleaner smell. Feels like a quality product.
All four scents are great!
Man these are great scents! I was very surprised at how powerful they are, a few hours later and I still smell them on my skin. Iโd definitely buy this again.<br /><br />Snow Leopard- smells like how a Peppermint Patty tastes<br />Barista- smells like the first cup of coffee in the morning, but with a pour of chocolate syrup<br />Woodland Ranger- smells like men doing manly things in a forest. My personal favorite.<br />Uncle Jack- smells like how straight bourbon tastes: could be better, but pretty good.

I don't usually write reviews unless I'm reminded by some incentive email, but I had a hard time picking the dude out cologne, so I figured maybe this would help someone. Plus, I love solid colognes.<br />These are cute in that they definitely follow a wintery theme. Their subtlety is on point. The price is reasonable, so if he doesn't like one or two of them, that's fine. I took one star away because they are a little weird--and I wanted more vanilla, (literally, I was hoping Snow Leopard would have more vanilla). Here is my take on these:<br />Snow Leopard: Clean, crisp. Smells like dude just took a shower, and is now eating a candy cane in the shower steam. So at first, it's like: why? And where's the vanilla?<br />Woodland Ranger: Crisp, clean. Smells like a really fresh Christmas tree...and also that shower steam.<br />Uncle Jack: WTF. Smells like you are hugging a very drunk man in brand new leather jacket...who also just took a shower. Don't wear too much if you're driving. It's interesting tho, and one of the stronger scents.<br />Barista: Sweet, nutty. My personal fave; I'm probably giving him this one early. Smells like forgetting all your problems as you walk into a coffee house, where they make drinks with whipped cream and coco dust. Remember Barney's Coffee?<br />All in all, these are subtle yet manly, interesting yet familiar...srsly...I wonder if Uncle Jack has a name's sake. I hope he was a happy drunk.
Hit and Miss Scents
I am glad to have the chance to sample these scents. They are all masculine in different ways. Woodland Ranger and Snow Leopard are definitely more bright in their smell (which I like) and Barista does a good job replicating the olfactory ambiance of a coffeehouse.<br /><br />Uncle Jack was my least favorite. In the tin, all I get is booze (the bourbon scent). On my skin, I pick up the leather and vanilla from my wrists (a positive!) but a chemical booziness from my neck (yuck). This one was the least appealing to me. I use Duke Cannon Bourbon Soap and was hoping Uncle Jack would compliment that. Unfortunately, I will never open the Uncle Jack again.
