Moisturizing, light and smells amazing!
I got this beard oil for my boyfriend who has been growing a beard for the last 6 months to a year. His facial hair is coarse and thick - almost wiry - and a bit on the unruly side. He isn't big into 'hair care' products and has done his best to avoid my suggestions about putting something in his beard to make it more manageable. I thought, if I go ahead and get it, he will be obligated to try it ;) I, myself was a little concerned with him using an oil because he has naturally oily skin and was afraid it would lead to more skin issues and he could say 'I told you so'. Luckily, with this beard oil, it has been just the opposite!<br />He loves this beard oil, and has even begun to use it on the ends of his hair that were feeling dry. This oil smells amazing! - to me, and him. His beard has become softer, less prickly and crunchy - his words and mine - as I have stopped getting the 'pricked with pine needles feeling' when I try to snuggle him. He has had no skin irritation or issues with it and he has actually said he really like how it feels on his skin. He rubs it in not just his facial hair but some into his skin underneath too and it has fixed his 'beardruff' problem.<br />I have received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for a true, honest and objective review. The Old Hoss All Natural Beard Oil from AllYouNeedLLC arrived safely and packaged well. Really love this lightly scented beard oil. It takes a lot more than normal to tame my beard with it being chest length. My wife loves the smell of this. That's all I really have to satisfy. If she's happy then I'm happy. Once I put a few drops in my palm and massage it into both sides and down to my chin and neck. I use my beard brush to evenly distribute it. I'll most likely be a repeat customer. Like the oakmoss and cedar scent!
This is for Batch No 2, Oakmoss and Cedar. Since it appears my husband's beard is not going anywhere, the deal is it has to be periodically professionally groomed, and kept up otherwise. This is his third bottle of beard oil, and this one will do the job in terms of keeping it smelling good, tamed, and soft between trims. The Oakmoss and Cedar is a nice, as expected outdoorsy, natural, smell, without being too powerful or headache inducing. Even after a few hours, the scent is still there, in a pleasant, mild, wafting kind of way vs why is that lady wearing so much Justin Beiber perfume in the subway kind of way. The consistency is nice, a few drops into the hand, then he rubs them together and works it into the beard.<br /><br />The bottle is nice, the standard dropper - I have not seen other ways of packaging beard oil. And, I'm ok with the brown paper label, it absorbs extra drips well in general and keeps the oil off your dresser or sink.. The plastic packaging around the dropper took scissors to remove and would recommend the Old Hoss folks either not use it at all, or get the kind with perforation. The box it came in was nice, and good for a gift. although it seems like a different graphic designer helped with that.<br /><br />Overall, a nice beard oil with a good, masculine but mild scent - I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review.
Great woodsy scent!
My boyfriend has been growing out his beard for over a year and a half now. For the first year he didnโt use any type of beard product such as a oil, balm, etc. Six months ago I bought him several different types of oils and balms to try out and get a feel of what he prefers. Each and every one has their positives and negatives, so he continues branching out and trying other beard oils.<br />I really like the rustic looking packaging, but he really likes the natural, woodsy smell. I agree too, the smell is fantastic. He prefers to keep different scented beard oils around to fit for โseveral occasionsโ, and this is a great and distinct smell! It isnโt too overpowering however, but it is still a great smell.<br />The dropper coming with the bottle is a plus, because I have noticed that some beard oils are nixing the droppers for some reason. I am super excited that this beard oil is vegan and cruelty free. This is actually the first beard oil I have noticed advertising the fact, which is really important to me.<br />Great ingredients, great packaging, and worth it for the overall price.<br />I received this product at a discount in exchange for this review, but no matter what I think this is still a great beard oil! Love the smell and love the benefits of using it!
Nice product
Overall this item is very nice and has a good smell. The only thing I have noticed is a little itching still, but very minimal. Will leave a review later on once it is all used up!
