Works "Magic" for Hard Beards
I have used the same model with silver handle 10081 which my dad bought from Germany..used it throughout my teen years and 20s...Never had any issues of In-grown hair..then come 30s, with increased work load moved to Edge shaving gel & later to Barbasol to save time in morning..and here I have an outburst of in-grown hair, saw at Dermatologist who was a shaving aficionado and talked me into using shaving brushes again. And here I am back to square one....first started with more expensive Badger hair, but some how Badger hair didn't give my hard beard good exfoliation. Then found this Omega 10081 with red handle..I was like ok..lets give it a try and voila...using it for a month..trouble of in-grown hair is gone, skin is well exfoliated.<br />Thing is I have realized razors don't make much of a difference, its the brush..this brush exfoliates my beard hair well during shaving, hair stand out and an average Mach 3 razor which i used to pass 4-5 times over my cheeks give really close shave in 1 pass..so all the magic lies in the brush..use proraso shaving cream tube with it.
Definitely worth the money
Love this brush it's still my main brush today.

Omega products are just well made, that's all. I'm starting to really warm up to boar bristle brushes.

Great brush!! Like most boars, it's stiff, mildly smelly, and rather scratchy when you first take it out of the package. I gave it a wash in some dish liquid to remove the funk from it, then in some shampoo, followed by a conditioner. I then lathered it a few times in Arko and let it sit overnight. The next day, no boar funk was left. Since then, it's been breaking in nicely. Whips up a very nice lather with soft and hard soaps as well as creams. Very satisfied!!
