Why You Need To Use This Mud Mask

I have worked outside my entire adult life as many of you know that follow my reviews, so you know I am concerned about my skin. Now that I am 40ish I am really trying to take care of it. That being said I figured I would try this organic dead sea mud mask. I had never tried a mud mask before but it really sounds like it would be good for your skin. I use dirt at work for a cleaner all the time. I will rub dirt on the area I need cleaned and the substance let's say some spilled paint on the driveway, sticks to the dirt and then when I wash away the dirt the paint goes with it. I believe this is the same concept.
I was a little surprised that it did not come with directions, so I turned to the Internet and found some great instructions on how to apply the mask "Gently apply it to your face, avoiding the eyes, nostrils and lips. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash it off. Make a Dead Sea mud body wrap. Dead Sea mud body wraps are thought to not only help detoxify your body, but to also actually shrink fat cells that are under the surface of the skin." Thank you wikihow.com
I put it on my face and let it sit for 15 minutes and it hardened up and literally turned into mud on my face. Pretty cool feeling. You could feel it working. I rinsed it off and felt great. I will continue to use this product.

A gentle, non-irritating way to control oil- my skin feels great!

This is a really great treatment mask for when your skin starts acting wonky.

My skin generally tends toward "normal", although I get random bouts of oiliness or a random batch of pimples, like we're taking it back to 1996 and 9th grade. No bueno. But the random times that I have these type of skin issued does not necessitate me using a full regimen designed for oily skin, since it would dry my face out to heck and back.

Enter the MIG Dead Sea Mud Mask. The product is made of mud and clays, as well as some random plant based products. No weird chemicals I can't pronounce or that I'd be worried about ingesting. I bet this stuff is edible, based on ingredient list, but it would probably be pretty gross, so I shant be trying that any time soon.

Anyway, I digress. I slapped the mask on (a little bit goes a LONG way) and let it sit for about 15 minutes, until it was totally dry. As it dried, I could feel my skin tightening, which is totally expected. The product was surprisingly easy to rinse off, given the fact that it's made from clay and mud. My skin definitely felt refreshed, and clean, and slightly exfoliated since I used a washcloth to remove it. I can't say whether it would be effective at reducing fine lines, but I will be adding this to my weekly repertoire to soak up any excess oils and try to keep the greasies away. If I have a particularly bad bout of oily skin, I'd use it more often. If I have a random zit, I can see this being an effective spot treatment to try and dry it out, and I'll give that a shot as well. I am all about getting multi-functional use out of a single product.

As a disclaimer, I received this product at a discount in exchange for trying the product out and giving my honest and unbiased review. That said, I only accept promotional items that I would actually purchase for myself and my family, and that I believe to be a good, quality product. The discount in no way affect my opinion, rating, or review of a product in question. And I really do get gross oily skin sometimes. And if you can't tell from the photo below, I love face masks and think they are super fun!
