Orly Color Amp'd is IT!

Color me PLEASED!! After having my nails done with gel at the salon, damage to my nails not to mention damage to my pocketbook as well, I have been on the hunt for the perfect polish for an at home manicure. The polish needed to be lush, vibrant, easy to apply, fast drying and resilient. I know, I know, asking too much?? Orly Color Amp'd fit the bill perfectly. A nice palette of colors ranging from pastels to dark and rich. The polish feels somewhat silky, very easy to apply. The brush is amazing! It is contoured to the shape of a nature nail with a nice curve at the tip so you can get in close to the cuticle without a lot of maneuvering. It is a thicker brush which fans out nicely and allows the brush to hold enough polish to paint a nail without having to go back to the bottle. The directions suggest waiting 8 minutes to allow the polish to dry which I do between each coat. Once the clear coat (make sure you buy the Orly Color Amp'd topcoat!) dries, I am off and running. No nicks, smudges...nothing. Every couple of days I swipe a coat of the topcoat on and my manicure can last 10 days. And, I am not a princess; I am cooking, cleaning, gardening and this polish holds up. One IMPORTANT note: the first time I used it, no basecoat ( basecoat is in the polish itself), two coat of color and the topcoat. Next day....chips!! ARGH. I went to Orly's website and found the answer. Alcohol. Yep, swipe your nails with alcohol before you polish, even if you just used remover and washed your hands. USE ALCOHOL. Works like a charm! Now what are you going to do with the extra time you have from not going to the salon??
