I've got a lot to say, but hear me out...
Here's the deal... You're gonna read reviews saying that the quality is poor, it doesn't fit right, etc. But listen - This is literally the BEST synthetic wig you can buy for this price point. I've been wearing wigs literally every day for about 2 years now, and have sadly dropped more cash on units than I'd like to think about. I'm not an expert on them per sÊ, but I'm getting there. So let me tell you what's up with this girl "Desiree".

1. I cannot stress this first point enough. For being priced at under $40, this is the BEST authentic-looking synthetic wig that I've found. Being that it's not human hair, you should automatically set your expectations appropriately when buying this. It's not going to last forever, you can't use high heat or a lot of product in it, can't dye it, etc. So make sure the style is what you like as-is. But if you go into trying this unit with those facts in mind, you are going to be pleasantly pleased! The hair FEELS super soft and real, I've never had to use dry shampoo to reduce any fake shine, and the fibers respond extremely well to a couple spritzes of moisturizer or hair spray when absolutely necessary. Honestly, to extend the life of mine a little more, I usually make hair products a last resort. This beauty fluffs up with more body on its own with just a little tousling.

2. The lace is truly transparent! This is a big deal for pasty chicks like me. I don't like to personally glue my units on, only because I still suck at getting it right, lol. But this lace won't show if you glue it on, so there's no need to use foundation on the edges. I will say that the lace isn't the softest I've ever worn, so it can sometimes get a little scratchy at times when it's warm out. But to me, it's a small price to pay for the benefits. The cap overall seems to be about average, but may run a tad small for some folks. I don't have a very big head, so this is a blessing for me personally. But since it's a short cut with very little camouflage in back for the nape of your neck, it's good to keep that in mind. It has clips and elastic bands to make it more adjustable, like most wigs. The bands are the kind that have that little extra curve to the end of them, if that makes sense? This is a very underrated quality, because it actually makes the bands hold onto the loops a lot better without snapping off or slipping out. So while it may be a little scratchy or a slightly tight fit, they definitely had long-wear use in mind.

3. Does it last super long? It depends on how you take care of it. Since I discovered this particular wig, I've actually bought 4 of them so far. Lol But hear me out - I've gone through some great learning curves through trial and error, and this has been my guinea pig for some time now. That being said, just be careful when brushing it, use a wig brush with looped bristles or just your fingers. Don't tug at it, because the lace WILL rip at the part. đŦ I have one that has some discreetly placed staples in the part, because I tugged too hard one time. But it works! Honestly, if you avoid washing it until absolutely necessary (and then only gently), and if you're careful with it, hang it on a wig head when not wearing, avoid hair products, especially ones designed for human hair, it'll last you a while. Especially considering it's synthetic. I still have and wear my first Desiree unit at times, and the only thing I've had to do to it over the last year is trim some end pieces that were frayed beyond repair. The reason I have 4 of these (soon to be 5), is so that I can cycle them out and extend the longevity of each one.

I hope this review helps some people who are trying to decide on buying this unit. If you're on the fence at all, this is DEFINITELY worth the gamble, especially at being so inexpensive! It is a very good choice for someone's first wig, experimenting with styles or colors, or just want something cheap for a cosplay, costume, or night out on the town. Trust me, you'll WISH wigs cost $35-$40 once you start shopping around elsewhere.

And if it eases anyone's worries, I'd like to confirm that I am NOT being paid or compensated in any way for leaving this review, and these are my honest thoughts on it. đ Enjoy!
