Long-lasting, matte, and more fuchsia than the pictures
Overall: I was looking for a peach-toned, easy-to-carry cheek/lip product. Ownestโs set B are matte blush sticks that are on the thick side in consistency; the colors last long on skin; however, each carries a lot more red/fuchsia pigmenting than the appearances let on.<br /><br />Pro: after rubbing and blending, these blushes do give skin a matte yet natural flush. The colors look like they come from within the skin, almost a staining effect. And it also stays that way for hours. Another good thing about the natural-ness of the look is that you can apply more on top and just rub it in any time throughout the day.<br /><br />Con: consistency is thick and dries quickly, so you basically need to start blending it out as soon as applying. Otherwise itโll set and stay there.<br /><br />Compared to other products of similar price range: at this price, it is competitive to Wet nโ Wildโs megaglo blush stick series. Iโd still go for Wet nโ Wild Hustle n Glow, a peachy shade similar to #105 here just because itโs creamier and gives skin more a dewy glow. But #105 and #106, at this price, are better than Peach Bum and Floral Majority in their staying power, pigmentation, and being matte.<br /><br />I threw out #104 the second after swatching it on my arm because it is wayyyyyy too fuchsia for any season any time for my taste. Even #105 has more dark pink than peach in its pigmentation, though more tolerable.<br /><br />Photo is #105.
