Perfect balance of volume and moisture

Does not overcondition or overdry my hair while maintaining volume and clean feeling. My hair is fine and gets oily easily and I’ve always had trouble finding a good shampoo and/or conditioner. This one is the best.

Great scent, great lather. And a great price (at WallyWorld).

Palmer's/E.T. Browne has a lot of above-average products in its line. This is one of them, for sure.

The scent is scrumptious. Not much like "coconut sun-tan oil at the beach" … much more like "fresh coconut cream pie desert!"

I say above-average because, if you scour the ingredient list on Palmer's products, you will typically find SOME natural & luxurious ingredients … and also some fairly common chemicals. So many of their products are of a higher quality than common store-shelf items … but not exactly in the category of seriously premium and/or upscale products.

For example, this product's main ingredient is Sodium olefin sulfonate. That's a common ingredient in bath & body products that used to make them lather. And Palmer's has been very generous with it, in that this shampoo really REALLY lathers up! The next major ingredient is coconut fruit extract. Many manufacturers won't use coconut oils or extracts in their bath & body products because straight-up palm oils and extracts are cheaper. After that there's a list of many other common chemical sounding ingredients. But also there's coconut oil, Tahitian gardenia extract, keratin-protein and glycerin. Those too are premium ingredients that common bath & body products usually won't contain. And this shampoo contains NO sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, dyes, gluten or phthalates.

That's a lot of quality, given the price … that being $4.36 at WallyWorld for a 14 ounce bottle… and, as of this writing, with instant "$2 off" coupons attached. That's a lot less expensive than other "big brand name" shampoos that offer less and cost more.

There's also a matching body wash product. In use, and in the ingredient list, they are almost exactly the same product. And there's a matching bar soap, though I found it far less interesting - meh - than this shampoo and its matching body wash.

This shampoo seems far better suited for dry hair; it conditions, moisturizes and protects. But I have oily hair. So I sometimes resort to using my bar soap on my hair as a first pass, to "cut through" a lot of the oil, before actually using this shampoo as a second application.

In any case, for a mere $2.36, you can pick up a bottle of this stuff at WallyWorld and see how this shampoo suits you yourself.
