Very effective for cleaning up my dogs eyes.
We use Burt's Bees Tear Stain Remover to clean up our dogs' eyes, both of which have lots of eye discharge. They do not mind the brush and it works well, and its performance is enhanced by using the tear stain remover along with the brush. The metal comb is more of an issue, and they do not like it at all, so I avoid using it near their eyes. My wife points out that these combs are even nicer than her eyebrow comb, and she has taken one for her use. Just be careful using the metal comb near your dog's eyes.
Great quality, easy to use.
The quality of these brushes are great, easy to use on my French bulldogs tear stains on his face, removes a lot of the gunk that gets stuck in his wrinkles. Fits perfect in between wrinkles which is nice, not to big or small. I also use on my cats eyes to brush off dirt.
Effective, but not for wiggly dogs
This double sided brush cleans my dog's eye area effectively. The pin side is very pointy and sharp so be very careful when brushing. I use the soft brush side of it when I apply my dog's eye stain remover gel. It distributes the gel better than using my fingers. The only thing that concerns me is the pin side for wiggly dogs. If your dog moves around constantly during grooming then this brush is not for you. My Mal-Shi is very calm during grooming so he just stands still, but my Shih Tzu is very wiggly, so I can't use this brush on him. The pin side is like needles, if he moves his head slightly he would get injured. I can't risk it.
more safe and useful on human than dog
I tried to use these on my 6lb maltipoo, but she squirmed too much and I was so afraid of poking her eyes with it. I used the brush side on her, but it didn't help as much as the puppy comb I use on her regularly. however... these work great for ME!! love it to brush my eyebrows and separate any makeup clumps in my lashes! not sure what the purpose is of selling these in a pack of 8, except to share and have spare ones everywhere.
