the perfect gift for a perfectionist son
I bought this as a gift for my son at Christmas time. He is very happy with it and raves to everyone how well it works, how easy it is to keep clean and how well it performs. My son at age 24 is always concerned about his appearence, and strives to look his best at all times. Afterall he is single and quite hansom if I do say so myself! A perfect gift for that special male that is always hard to buy for. Lets face it, most males are hard to buy for!
it's a great shaver but doesn't solve the world's problems
This is my 3rd Norelco in 15 years, and I've been pleasantly surprised by it. I wasn't expecting the best, given the range of modest complaints and criticisms in these online reviews. Apparently, the availability of the online forum prompts nitpicking like never before; in the end, the razor is an improvement over past models at a great price. Yes, it has a battery that needs recharging. Yes, it is made in China. But in the end, it performs great - close shave, great with long stubble, no problems cleaning up. If you're familiar with older Norelcos, you'll find it a little lighter than before with a substantially better shave. I can't really imagine how a >$100 model could be better.
Erratic Battery Performance; Excellent Shave
As someone who has a heavy beard, electric razors and their effectiveness are very important to me. I have owned this razor for a year now, and can offer a couple of observations: 1) I agree that the battery life is at best unpredictable. Sometimes the charge seems to last weeks, other times not. 2) The look of the razor is rather cheap, and would probably dismay you if you've owned Norelco razors in the distant past (10+ years) as I have. 3) Despite those two criticisms, it does what it is supposed to do, and that is give a very good shave and for the price, a very good bargain.

The batteries last a long time and recharge quickly.<br /><br />Floating heads are confortable, but don't seem to shave a closely as my previous Norelco.
