More of A Question Than Review
I ordered two of these combs, and I admit I love them, but I noticed on both of them a small slit on each corner of both of them. I noticed it on one of them and thought it might have cracked in shipping, and then looked at the other one and it had them also. After using them initially I would suspect it is there more for stress relief to keep the comb from cracking when combing at an angle or grasping it tightly but I'm no mechanical engineer. The slits are right above where the horn part connects to the wood but not in between the wood and horn, but in the wood itself and they are tiny and still work fine. Am I just seeing things, or was this by design? I'm not complaining and actually ordered a few more of these as they have worked fine with the slits. I was going to give them to friends and for $6/$7 I can't really complain and if they break later, then I shall dispose of properly.
