[[VIDEOID:78f2fb0534ec36ee1e3c0b19c41761b4]] Absolutely love these! Much cheaper alternative to 3rd degree but still a lot better than liquid latex And the wax for creating wounds/gashes. It worked perfectly for the Chelsea/Glasgow smile look I created. I did a trial run and the actual look and still had only used half a cube! Definitely great if you want multiple uses out of it. The only thing is you have to work quickly because it does set very quickly but the product can be re-melted over and over again. 10-15 seconds in the microwave and that should do it.
Practical and Realistic
Depending on what you're using the gelatin for this is the perfect amount. I only used one cube for several small hand sfx wound applications. Takes to being painted really well, and stayed all day without adhesive! Really freaked out some people, because they thought the wounds were real!

Amazing fast results just watch your microwave time
Works great! Just don’t microwave for more that 8 seconds and let it cool until the end of a makeup brush put in it pulls out stringy. Then test on wrist. If it comes out of the microwave bubbling you’ve microwaved it too long. It’s hard to believe it can become liquid in seconds but it can so often 5-8 seconds is enough. When you find the sweet spot this stuff is amazing! Fast and realistic. Also you’ve GOT to powder it or it will remain super sticky and will pull off onto anything that touches it.

I got this in the mail yesterday to use on the neighborhood kids. Of course I had to play a bit and I love this stuff. The wounds you can create are very realistic. Its very easy to apply and easy to take off. I used just the tiniest piece of one of the cubes and made a wound on my hand. It was easy to cut into and "paint" for that realistic look. A little goes a long ways which is nice. I put a small chunk in a bowl and in 10 seconds it was ready to use without burning my skin. Took seconds for it to set up to carve into. I will definitely order more of this before Halloween as I have about 8 kids to make up for Halloween.<br />I just ordered my second batch of this and just got it. I love this stuff.
Practice and Time.
if you've never used this before, be aware! this takes some practice. and time. but it's worth it!<br /><br />i heat it up in the microwave, for about 10sec, then spread it out in a layer on wax paper to cool and reset. the cooling time is short, but the resetting time is longer, if you are going to apply at 5pm i'd melt and set at around noon to ensure it's fully set and strong enough to pull off the wax paper without tearing, also to diminish the stickiness of the previously melted product.<br /><br />aside from that, i would practice practice practice! have fun with it! the more you play with it the easier it is to apply and and be creative with.<br /><br />enjoy!
