Love the thick internal wire nice secure hold.

I've no idea what one would use the larger one for. I'd have to have had practically waist length hair to use the larger one. But the small one works beautifully. It is easier than the velveteen covered ones that have a top and bottom flap, though there is a bit of a learning curve and if you've got layered hair, you really need to apply hairspray before using it or the shorter pieces will simply fall out while you are sliding the device down towards the ends before rolling.
