Even tho this is not round like the one I had to replace
Even tho this is not round like the one I had to replace, it went in the same spot pretty well. I had to find longer screws to install it and of course I cut the ends off the old one and soldered them to this. But even tho it was a little work, it works great. I was skeptical when I was trying to install it, but when I turned on that switch and it worked right as rain the first time I was very pleased. And it has been working great for a while now.<br /><br />I placed this inside a ceiling fan with a 9W circular light bulb in it. Just an FYI.
Good Replacement for Rhine RB-CHB 40 Ballast
Used this ballast to replace a Rhine RB-CHB 40 ballast in a Hampton 54 inch fan. With only a very slight and easy modification to the base of the ballast it is a good fit. The modification was only to trim the edge of the center hole to allow for the small mounting washer for the fan light assembly. I did have to buy a connector to connect the AC line feed to the ballast. I have two additional fans that also have the above Rhine ballast and I will order this ballast if either one of them fails.<br />The 5 pack PowerPlug ac connector was purchased locally for $4.27 and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to make a similar AC to Ballast connection.

Good thing I know how to do electrical
Had to splice into the existing wiring as the connector, or lack of it forced the adaptation. Good thing I know how to do electrical work
