Love this product
Not made in China and plastic free!
In my quest to end my oil/plastic dependence and delve further into natural and organic healthcare, it was FINALLY time for a new brush! I would have loved to be able to spend upwards of $50 for an Italian handmade wooden hair brush (Widu), but just because I want to end my plastic dependence, does not mean I am made of money! I wanted to find an alternative to the Widu that fit into a couple factors: not made in China, under $20 a brush, and has %100 wooden pins and handle. This brush meets all those standards. A little plus as well, I use it to massage my scalp before a shower to get more blood flow to my hair follicles. I highly recommend the Burstenhaus brushes is you are looking for a PLASTIC FREE alternative to haircare.
Good quality
I really enjoy this brush. It is much nicer than a plastic brush. I looked around for a maple brush and found very few. Finally settled on this one and I am very happy with it. Very good quality.
This brush was great..
This brush was great.....much better than I expected plus I
do not get any static in my hair when using it. It is well worth
the money!
Great brush for fine hair!
I have always purchased Conair paddle brushes, and really needed something that would untangle my hair, but not leave it static ridden and this was the solution! I am considering buying another one for my daughters to use.

So far i love it. I'm going to try to get a heavier brush next time to see if it makes much of a difference. This brush is lovely, though, I'm definitely going to keep using it. It's also gentle on the scalp.
Excellent
Bรผrstenhaus Redecker Straight Maple Pine hairbrush is very gentle on hair and scalp.
My journey of finding my love in wooden brushes
Before I came across this type of brush, I was using those typical plastic brushes that you would buy at the store--that was at least 3 years ago, if not, more than that. Eventually, I got tired of plastic brushes because of the way it pulls, the static that it creates, and worst of all, the way it made my hair smell. I can't stress this enough, no matter how nice smelling my shampoo is, my hair would smell unpleasant (I cannot describe), almost like plastic after it dried. And so, I made my first step to healthier hair by changing brushes; I discovered about the boar bristle brush, and bought one that I found at the store. It was fine, it made my hair soft, but was it life changing? Kind of, but I grew out of it. I liked how it made my hair feel, especially at the ends, however I could not comb from root to end, because my hair type is thick and I was not feeling the scalp massage. I even thought about saving my money for a Mason Pearson, and had it on my wishlist for a while. I found an affordable boar bristle brush, but I never bought it yet, as it sits in the wishlist.
Another problem I had with my hair is that it is unmanageable. Everytime I got out of the shower, I needed to brush my hair, no matter how unhealthy it is, I needed to. Otherwise, my hair is all tangled and I will be irritable (just kidding). Well, brushes do no justice, so I went with a detangler, I bought one at the store (once again) for about a couple dollars, and I have used it for a while. You could say, I was trying to be gentle to my hair, by starting at the ends and work my way up. For now, it was the only way to keep my hair at bay, and I still use the boar bristle brush to fix my hair a little.

Until recently, I succumbed to realizing how important hair is, and so I watched videos and videos of hair routines, until I came across holistichabit's video about her hair routine/how to get long healthy hair naturally. I kind of regretted now, not watching it when I first found her channel, but now I am obsessed about her ways of maintaining healthy hair. When she mentioned about using a wooden brush, I was almost confused, but was curious as how it benefitted her hair. Though the brushes she recommends were expensive, she did hint that Europeans make the best brushes. That is when I began my hunt for a reasonable priced, yet high quality and came across this aethethically pleasing brush. Since it was made in Germany, I had to put it at my highest priority; a few days later, I couldn't contain my impulses and just bought this brush.

TL;DR
At first use, I'm totally impressed with how it distributed my oils, and I really enjoyed that scalp massage: it's amazing. I will say, that you do not need to apply a lot of pressure to your scalp, as it massage just effectively. I decided that I should wait until I shower after, that I began using. Today came around, and first use on wet hair, I was literally blown away! I was just in awe at how soft it made my hair, and I had been waiting for this moment for my scalp massage. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF THE SCALP MASSAGE! A few hours later, and my hair feels so soft, it's almost heavenly. My hair strands and ends feel evenly distributed with oil, however, I'm not sure if the back of my head feels greasy and chunky because I use a sulfate-free shampoo, and it happens almost every time. Another thing to add, my hair smells of oak/maple wood; maybe I'm just weird but I do not mind it, in fact I appreciate the smell. I cannot say if this is durable, but it is real wood, so it is important to keep the brush handle part as dry as possible. If it is wet, you can wipe it with a towel.
Overall, I am so in love with this brush and this is the only brush I will use. I know I paid less than $20, but the quality of this brush makes me want to treat it with care. The brush looks so simple and minimalist, that it just adds a touch of simplicity in your space.
I will add pictures soon; if not, maybe this week.

This is my honest and first impression of this product. I know it's pretty long, but I am just so in love, that I had to write one! I hope this helps and I recommend this product to first time users who are looking a brush that is high quality. If anything, just buy this brush already, you will love it to pieces like I did. I might make an update on this product in a few weeks, stay tuned!

Update; 5/14/20:

I still use this product, and over the years, it has aged naturally, to which it developed "rings" or natural word markings. It still holds up very well, because I am careful about the sensitivity of water to wood. However, as lazy as I am, I do not clean the bristles of my brush often, so it has developed some dirt and smell, from my hair. Evermore, I am grateful that I discovered this product, and will keep using it until it reaches its mileage. :)
