Remington Microflex Ultra TCT Rechargeable Shaver R9100

Fairly good

I purchased this razor at least four years ago, probably more. With the exception of the side trimmer, it has held up well. The batteries are obviously fading at this point, but they are still good for 4 shaves. I haven't replaced the shave heads, but it still only takes me about 3-5 minutes to shave. I also rarely clean the heads(other than emptying the whiskers) and I didn't bother keeping each rotar blade with its corresponding screen.(I found out that is how you are supposed to do it recently.) Considering the abuse over the years, it works well.<br /><br />It used to shave me quite closely, now it is just adequate. (After over 4 years with no replacement heads, I'm willing to give it a break.) I was never very picky about how close I was shaved. Even new, it never shaved as close as a regular razor, but no rotary shaver does that I have tried.(I've only owned 4 thus far.) The foils are better I hear, but only if you shave every day, which I don't like to do. I'm pretty skinny, so my face is very angular with very flat surfaces.<br /><br />Pro's -<br />You don't have to empty the whiskers more than once a week(6 shaves)<br />The battery recharing system is good, it detects full charge and stops charging, unlike many of the Phillips-Norelco models.<br />If the battery dies, you can run it off of the charging cord.<br /><br />Con's -<br />I wouldn't say it is loud, but it isn't quiet either.<br />Trimmer internal mechanism broke a year ago.
