Easy peasy elegance

This simple device is great! For years I've been using those "claw" type barrettes to hold up my long hair, and using this simple but effective giant hairpin is more elegant and easy. You can actually make a bun that's too tight, if you can believe that! So, a firm hold is easily obtained and adjustable to your comfort level. I've actually bought several to always have one or two in my purse just in case I'm having a bad hair day and need to look presentable in a hurry.

Thick hair? Get it!

If you have thick hair this will actually hold your hair up. I love it. I have REALLY thick hair one will do it unless I'm going to be active I use 2 of 3 of them.

it works!

Finally something that really works and no more elastic band ridge in the hair when I let it down. I have thick wavy (frizzy) hair that's layered. I use BOTH pins, one for top, shorter layers and the other for the longer bottom layers. It creates a classy up do. I take it down from the pins and it has cool retro waves reminiscent of 1930s and it's not frizzy.

This is that perfect item I was looking for

I got these after watching this YouTube video from this Youtuber who tested this out.
[...] my hair is a little shorter than hers and I'm working on growing it out from a pixie cut, so I have a bunch of crazy weird layers in my hair. I needed an alternative to the typical elastic hair tie to throw my hair up. I'm afraid I wear my hair up so often that I probably have a big line of breakage across my hair from where the hair tie goes. This is that perfect item I was looking for. It's easy and I get multiple looks out of it. It's even fancier than just popping my hair up in a pony tail, so I don't feel obligated to fix my hair before I go out if I've had it up with this device. Sometimes some of my shorter strands do fall out of this, but that is because those strands are barely long enough for an elastic- not this products fault! I'm so glad one of these recommended beauty tools actually works!!!

If you buy it, hide it! Everyone wants them!

This thing is fantastic! I don't know how I ever survived without it lol. It's easy to master, and you can do everything shown on the box plus whatever comes to your imagination. I like to do a half-up do, which looks fab and it's very popular right now. The low side twist is very classy, not even close to those one-sides ponytails we rocked in the 80s haha. I'm going to have to stock up on these things; I bought a pack from the Bullseye store at lunch today, and my coworker saw me playing with my hair. She loved it so much she took my other one haha! They do come with two in a package, so it's a great deal and you won't have to fight a friend to get it back. Enjoy!

Works very well, sturdy and a good value!

I'm always looking for simple but pretty ways to pull my hair up so I decided to try this. It's basically a gigantic bobby pin on steroids, 4 thick metal prongs that are curved to follow the shape of your head. I found the written instructions confusing but searched on YouTube and found some videos that explain it well. Once I got the hang of it I was able to do the messy bun style in about a minute.

My hair is fine and slippery, and I have a lot of layers, so there is some hair poking out when I do it, but it's much better than what I would be able to achieve with bobby pins. I expect it will work better once my hair grows out a bit. You can make these hairstyles as tight or as loose as you want depending on how much hair you gather in the pin as you flip it, so it's good for those that have a lot of hair to wrangle as well as those who get headaches if their hair is pulled back tightly. If you have past your shoulders that is wavy or curly (like the model in the diagrams) I think that is ideal, but I think you can make it work with most hair types.

For less than $5 for a 2-pack it's worth a try, and if it doesn't work for you, pass it on to a friend with a different hair length/texture.
