Jade rolling and Gua Sha - ancient Chinese skincare practices

This roller is much better than other low-cost rollers I've used - there's no squeaking or wiggling, just a smooth and quiet application. The products are finely made with gold colored hardware and soft pink stones, and come in a cute box with some additional goodies! (A few eye masks and a little baggie for storing the tools).<br /><br />Using the roller was very intuitive and easily done, and it left my face feeling very cool and soothed. I don't have as much experience with the Gua Sha so I looked up some videos on YouTube for how to use it, and it definitely seems like an indulgent practice that I could get used to! It's basically like a home facial massage, and it left my skin feeling worked over but less bloated than it was before I used the Gua Sha.<br /><br />I don't necessarily think these tools are a necessity but they are really fun, adorable, and the benefits they have are no joke! Jade rolling and Gua Sha massage are Chinese medical practices which have been shown to have beneficial effects on the skin and body, so if you've been looking for a Jade rolling set, this definitely might be the one for you!

Surprisingly Loved It!

Thank you @royal_jade_store for sending me this Rose Quartz Roller & Gua Sha set for free in exchange for a review. As always, I’ll keep it honest! This was my first time trying a roller and gua sha, and I didn’t really know what to expect because I was a little skeptical that they’d work as well as everyone says. But, I was proven wrong! My favorite of the two is the gua sha - it really improved the circulation in my face (as far as I could see and feel) and I really do believe it reduced inflammation on my face. My skin is less red and less irritated. It feels really good too. As for the roller, I don’t use it as often, but I do find it helpful. I use it to rub oil onto my face and the cool sensation of the quartz feels good. I’ve been using this with a face oil and my face has been quite hydrated, which is great for the dry winter months. Overall, I would recommend this set, especially as a first-time user. It’s supposed to come with eye masks but for some reason mine didn’t, so that’s why I knocked off one star.
