This is because of the fact that this is a PRE-DISOLVED SOLUTION and not straight Salicylic Acid powder. This possesses many benefits...<br /><br />(1) You don't run into any solubility issues combining SA into your base/cosmetic preparation<br />(2) This ensures maximum cosmetic benefits and effectiveness of the SA to the skin<br />(3) Makes getting a precise concentration of SA very simple (5% of the liquid solution = 2% active SA...)<br />(4) High solubility with water based ingredients (like a Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner, etc) makes adding the SA to a finished/storebought cosmetic product easy<br /><br />I use this item by adding it in 5% concentration (2% active BHA) to the MakingCosmetics Skin Toner Base or to straight witch hazel water.
