After reading the previous person's comments, I decided to leave a review myself. While there is merit to what was mentioned, I have to throw in a huge interjection. Samy Pure does not use sulfates, which is a huge plus when you take a look at 95% of the shampoos in this price range. Sulfates are linked to cancer - even in small quantities (it's still in debate whether it really is cancerous, but sulfates are still very drying). Another commendable thing is that Samy Pure does not use animal fats in the conditioner. That's not a deal maker or breaker for me, but it's nice to know.<br /><br />I used to use Chi and Redkin back before my job lay off. Needless to say, I can no longer afford spending $25 for shampoo and conditioner combined. So, what I did was throw back to the oldschool stuff I used when I was a teenager like Herbal Essences, etc. What it did was dry out my hair to the point where I am needing to spend the money, that I had initially saved, on a deep conditioner. After doing some research I found out that sulfates are cheap detergents that are used in dish soap, etc, and are very drying. Next time I went grocery shopping and picked up shampoo I searched through almost every bottle and found that Samy Pure was the only thing under $10 that was sulfate free.<br /><br />So far my hair *does* feel softer and smoother. It doesn't make it frizz (I have a thick head of frizzy hair, so this is always a concern with new products) and it doesn't feel greasy. So, I'm a fan!
