I really like this unit

I have been wearing crochet braids as a protective style for a few years now. However, while I love the versatility I get with crochets, without damaging my hair, re-installing the braids over the weekend became a bit of a time suck. I decided to look for a wig that would serve as a transitional piece, that would look natural and still afford my own natural hair protection be allowing me to keep my hands out of it.<br /><br />Enter this wig. I had never worn a wig before, though I had bought a few, which looked a bit fake, so I to tuck them in a closet. I even bought the half wig version of this unit, but it was too much of a hassle to get my hair to blend with that wig's texture. So when I saw this full wig on offer, I got a bit excited. I watched a lot of Youtube tutorials and reviews before taking the plunge to purchase it. All the while skeptical that it would look as good a reviewers said it does.<br /><br />As I said, this was my first time really trying a wig. I am such a wig novice that I had the wig on wrong when I first tried it on, without realising where the part was, and was not really impressed. However, once I put it on correctly, I saw it had serious potential. The left side part was a bit odd, but I quickly overcame that once I tweezed it a little bit and cut a few strands to create the coveted "baby hairs" to blend with my own. Then I applied some concealer and powder to the part, so it more closely matched my own scalp and voila, a wig that is so fabu, that I want to buy a second one as a stand by.<br /><br />The texture is natural looking. Like I blew out my own hair and then put some flexi rods in to create large spiral curls. I chose not to mess with the curls too much because I want to avoid tangles and matting. I figure the curls will loosen up with time. The wig is lightweight, yet the hair is thick enough that you never see the cap beneath. It really looks like my own hair, like it is growing straight from my scalp. I love it. I just added some more hair pins to secure it a bit more, but I am happy with it. It was a great price and a good experience for this first timer.
