Some people state that it spits or the water turns ...

Some people state that it spits or the water turns brown. In my experience it is the type of water you use. ALWAYS use distilled water. It only costs about $1.00 a gallon and lasts a long time. My last Shark pooped out after 10 years. Oh, and never iron on top of metal snaps or any metal, it scratches the plate. Iron around the metal.
