I know it seems expensive. I got this shampoo and the conditioner to match along with the spray leave in and I will tell you right now.. I use this product every day and found it was too often. I then used it every other day and my hair started growing faster. I'd severely stripped my hair of all color (blue hair is not a good idea) and it was like straw! So dry it broke off when you touched it. I ended up only using this product twice a week after about three weeks because my hair didn't need it. It didn't feel oily or dirty and my hair just felt great. You'd never be able to tell that my hair was the condition it was in as of six months. Completely different. It smells pretty good and my hair has grown so much faster and is so soft!<br /><br />You don't need a lot. I will say that. You really shouldn't need to even if your hair is down to your waist (like mine) you will need about a dime. No it doesn't suds, yes that's a good thing, yes it still works just as good. As a good measure, I washed my hair with a mixture of sulfate free soap and baking soda to get off the hair spray and moose residue. Well worth the money. This bottle is going to last me years and years
