Exactly as described

I am very happy with this extension kit! I was initially a little worried based on the fact that it only had 2 1/2 stars when I made my purchase, but as long as you read the description it's VERY clear about what you're receiving. These are *synthetic* feathers. They aren't meant to look like rooster feathers (as are some hair extensions) and are more like pieces of dyed hair. Think of a Halloween wig, that's pretty much the quality you're receiving here. That being said: You can ABSOLUTELY curl AND flat iron these puppies, however, I would HIGHLY recommend only doing so on the lowest setting! They can be washed and dried just like normal hair, just make sure you don't tug at them too hard when brushing your hair. The beads that these come with have silicone on the inside so they will grip well. How to install: (See the pictures in my review) * Slide the bead onto the latch hook (I used a blond bead for my pictures, however, use the bead color that most closely matches your hair) * Take a small section of hair (about 1/2 of the width of one of these extensions) * Latch the hair and slide the bead onto your hair (this can take a little getting used to, I would recommend using a bit of hairspray on the secton you grabbed and also twisting the hair first) * Slide the end of the extension into your bead with your hair * Use the provided pliers to pinch it shut * Done! How to remove: * You may need help with this one. Simply put the pliers around the outside of the bead (length wise) and pinch it so it forces the bead open then just slide it out, done! What's included in the kit: * Synthetic, dyed hair "feathers" (52 pieces) * 100 beads (half are blond, half are brown, no black) * Pliers * Latch hook

For what these are, they're pretty decent. These aren't actual rooster feathers, they are synthetic hair with dyed banded stripes on them. I use them to add some color to wigs that I wear and they look fantastic. The loop tool and beads are nice and if you install them correctly you cannot see the beads even though they are dark. I did have to trim the bonded end to get them to lay correctly, but not a huge deal at all. I almost prefer these over the real feathers as these are easier to fluff out and blend into hair and it's easier to comb through your hair with these in. Just hold the extension at the bead so you don't pull it out when combing that section of your hair. If you have a younger kid that wants feathers in their hair, I'd suggest using these instead.
