SWANSTAR actually work just as well as the flat irons that are 2/3 times the price
My SWANSTAR are nice flat irons. They work good although you have to go through your hair twice. The steams seems like a functional way of achieving the silk press look. I was pleased with the results once I tried them out. They're pretty stylish too.
Good for long hair, difficult at times for short hair
I love this flat iron despite the one problem I have with it. I wish that the flat iron was skinnier. Itโs difficult to get close to my head at certain angles due the flat iron size. If my hair was longer, this would not be a problem. I almost returned the product because of the iron size. But I made some changes to the way that I iron my hair & I think it will work despite the iron size.<br />The features I like about it:<br />-steam feature - makes my frizzy hair smoother than a normal flat iron does<br />-high temperature adjustable heat - makes it so I can iron my hair with less passes from the iron, even if my hair is wet when Iโm ironing it - my hair is thick and usually requires more passes, even from a high heat iron, and I have never been able to dry my wet hair by ironing it with any other flat iron in the past<br />-setting buttons are on the inside handle - I was annoyed with this feature at first, but I realized that this makes it safer to leave plugged in when not in use, when you have small children - I have not had the problems I have had in the past with my kids trying to play with the buttons because of their location<br />-comes with quite a few extra tools including an extra steam compartment and an easy way to fill the steam compartment - the holes for the filling the steam compartment are really small and would be impossible to fill without provided bottle<br />-comes with chord Velcro strap - this makes it easy to keep organized despite having a long chord in a small bathroom<br /><br />Despite my problem with the short hair, I decided to keep it because it works so well. I will also say that I donโt believe the steam feature is protective to hair damage. It just makes the flat iron way more affective with less passes.

Love this flat iron. Leaves my hair shiny and soft. Tames frizz. Used it with low steam at 370 and 340. Took a couple passes to work out how best to use it. I have 3c/4a texture, thin hair. I used a heat protectant and some light argan before blow drying. Did not seem to damage my hair. Steam is a bit tricky...gets vacuum locked and doesn't work consistently. I do wish there was a setting between 340 and 370.
