Great product!

This was the first shampoo I tried on my newborn son and the only one I've continued to use 12 months later. I got lucky on the first try, I guess! I have the peace of mind of not using phthalates or sulfates on my baby and it works and smells great.

AMAZING!!!

I was sick of my daughters hair being dry after I shampoo it so I decided to buy this shampoo.. Boy, I've only used it twice on her hair & it is truly amazing the difference it has made. Used to use California baby & Mustela, they both had the same drying and nonnorishing effect on my baby's hair. Thank GOD for this shampoo! Now I'm going to buy some for myself!

My honest, unbiased review

I would like to first start out by saying I LOVE this product. It might seem a little pricey at $20 dollars for the larger of two bottles, but keep in mind, it is shampoo AND body wash along with free shipping and if you're not in Texas (like I am) then you shouldn't have to pay tax on it! (Amazon just starte requiring taxes be collected on purchases in Texas, which STINKS!) If you figure how much you pay for two separate bottles of "the other stuff" (especially if you go to the store to buy it and also have to pay tax), you may as well have paid the $20 for one bottle and gotten the benefits of it being so safe for you or your child. I cannot comment on the stinging of the eyes as written in some other reviews because I am diligent about keeping the water and soap out of my baby's eyes. It's not that hard to pay attention and go slow as you rinse. I hear this company is soon coming out with conditioner AND body lotion; I cannot wait! I currently use Burt's Bees Pomegranite (sp) conditioner along with this product and it works well in conjunction with this shampoo. I have never had an issue with it drying out either one of my daughters' hair and one has a full head to the nape of her neck (12 months old) and the other has long hair past her rear-end. It works equally as good on both. So far I have tried the Tropical and the Vanilla Baby. Out of those two, I do prefer the Vanilla Baby. There is nothing wrong with the tropical, but it's not as intoxicating as the Vanilla Baby was. The tropical would probably be a good choice for a little boy (or man) though! The bottle itself is a nice bottle; thick but not so thick that you can't squeeze it easily with one hand. It's not too thin that it feels flimsy. I also like that it is PEANUT-FREE as I have a child with a lethal peanut allergy. The company was VERY helpful in contacting their resources to verify that all ingredients are peanut-safe. (Very important to look because a lot of organic products use plant, fruit, vegetable or food-derived ingredients.) I will definitely be trying all of the scents (except the unscented, because I'm BIG on yummy smells!), given that they are all equally as safe for my children. I LOVE that they rated a number 1 on whatever website it was that gives ratings for safety of products. A 1 is as safe as water, basically in terms of ingredients that could be harmful. I can honestly say that I am glad I bit the bullet and tried this product. I used to be a "buy it at Walmart ONLY if I have a coupon" but it dawned on me one day that my little ones rely on me for EVERYTHNG, including things "behind the scenes" that they never realize or think about. I can say all day long that I give my kids fruits and veggies along with healthy meals, but what I am putting on their head/hair and skin is just as important! Everything we expose ourselves and our children to somehow end up inside of our bodies, one way or another. I will never go back to the store bought, non-organic shampoo and body washes for my kids. They blindly trust in me to make the right choices for them and I take that obligation very seriously. I am a return customer and will continue to be as long as they make this product.

Sweet Baby Shampoo has been the only hair product I've ...

My hair stylist told me that I should write a review for this product. She was impressed by my hair's condition and asked me what products I used. Sweet Baby Shampoo has been the only hair product I've used for quite some time. I have a contact sensitivity to an ingredient in most fragrances and I've never found a conditioner (even a fragrance-free conditioner) that doesn't make me itch or develop a rash. I've tried other fragrance-free shampoos, and those that I've tried (including Free and Clear, DHS) eventually leave my hair feeling like straw. With Sweet Baby Shampoo, I am itch- and rash-free and my hair feels great!

A shampoo you can trust

I bought this shampoo based on the fact that I could get it in unscented and have a very hard time finding a so called unscented shampoo that is truly unscented and that has no harmful chemicals in it. It is one of the best shampoos I have used simply because it doesn't make any extravagant claims and is just a simple, unadulterated, clean shampoo that leaves my hair shiny with healthy body, is pleasant to use, and does not irritate my scalp or ears. I am over 60 and have not tried the same brand in the adult shampoo, but am purchasing this again and will continue to in the future as long as they don't change the ingredients. I am also thinking of washing my dogs in it. This product is well worth the price which I find to be quite reasonable. I have not been able to find a cheap unscented shampoo. The market seems to be saturated with many, many brands of scented shampoos, but nothing unscented for all us people who have chemical and fragrance sensitivities. Thank you, Paradise Island, for providing something for us.

Washes Off Waxy Build-Up

I had not been able to find a shampoo that lives up to its promises of removing waxy build-up. After the birth of my second son, every shampoo seemed to leave waxy layer in my hair. This Sweet Baby Shampoo actually removes waxy build-up. I bought it for my sons because my brainiac wanted a dye-free, gluten-free shampoo. It's tough finding a dye-free shampoo, but his arguments are sound. The kid's very convincing. I borrowed his shampoo and love it. My hair has greater body and feels wonderfully clean.
