Heavier than expected, would recommend
Wasn't expecting too much for this price point. I have to admit i purchased it based on the looks and price. This brush was heavier than i expected. I am pleasantly surprised at the performance. I do not own any higher end brushes, so i have no comparison to go by, but this brush is now one of my first choices out of my collection. Liked it enough to order another brush from this brand. I would recommend this for beginners as well as anyone not worried about buying high end .
HEAVY, well-made brush
I only recently started wet shaving, and - as my wife said - I've gone whole hog.<br /><br />I bought this brush after looking at probably a hundred different ones. In the end, I chose this for three reasons:<br />1) Good price<br />2) Good reviews<br />3) It'd be here in two days.<br /><br />I am very pleased with the quality of the brush. It is heavier than a Slayer concert, but the bristles are soft, smooth, and they hold the soap very well.<br /><br />I am considering giving my Dad and son a wet-shave kit for Christ-mass this year. If I do, this will be the brush that I include.
Maybe don't get the metal one
I got the metal one because I thought it looked cool. And it does.<br />But I didn't have much experience with the brush and soap. In actual shaving, the cool metal handle has two problems: 1. It's a bit too heavy. Makes it clumsy to do the swift whisk motion to get the lather thick. 2. It gets HOT when you heat the soap, or use hot water, the metal conducts all of the heat. It becomes a compromise and you end up with tepid lather. I'm still using this one, but will probably order their wooden one soon.
First shave brush, I think I got a good one!
Wanted a vegan brush for my shave setup and loved the look of this one. I was surprised how heavy it was! Had it a few weeks, so far hasn’t shed any bristles but we’ll see how long it lasts. Overall I’m pleased with the quality.
