Worth every penny

Granddaughter loves them. She likes being able to pick the color she wants to wear. Was worth every penny.

I've been looking for these for forty years!

They were a little difficult to onstall and the balls are on the large side. They sure do work, though.

Easy to use

Works just like the ones when I was a kid. My hands can’t use regular rubber bands or hair ties very well. These are nice and easy.

Bigger balls

The balls are one inch balls, not the size of marbles like my old ones.

Hair PonyTie are gorgeous clear balls

Reminiscent of old pony tail ties back in the day, bit seem more fragile. One already broke on week. Rarely use them now, but I still like how they look. So not for everyday use, but still worth it.

Bubble Ball Hair Ties Like the 70's - Almost

I have extremely fine hair and I didn't use the hair tie to hold the ponytail together, only to wrap around the ponytail and the elastic came out of 1 of the 4 sides of the metal crimp bead holding it together.
I didn't expect them to be as good as the ones in the 70s & 80s (**considering there are STILL several around my parents house that have the elastic in tact, but 1 or more of the balls are broken) but I did expect to be able to use them wo breaking them.
To be fair, it's been a very long time since I've used a hair tie like this and I break the first clear elastic I use to put in a ponytail at least every other morning, so I don't know if I was just pulling too hard or if this one had a faulty crimp. They are cute. I ended up with some triplets and singles, but that was not important to me and if I still had little girl in hair bows, would have bought 2 of these and any combo of a second package would most likely pair up the colors if that is important to someone. I wouldn't order assorted colors of anything I wanted specific colors for wo realizing I was taking a chance of getting the mix I wanted, but I did think I was getting 6 matching pair of these and I didn't.

I will pinch the center crimp bead on the rest of these w pliers and assume I was being too hard on them. I will use another week and update the review only if the others break.
I don't remember these being so relatively expensive as far as hair ties go, but I have zero reference point.
I purchased them to put around the ponytail of my bun and I am trying to attach the back of a bandana to the little balls. These worked alright, but I am going to have to end up going with a bungie cord that has a ball on it. I say that only to provide the grain of salt one should probably take with the review.

These are pricey to me, but very cute and visually identical to the bubble balls of the 70's I would never use this tie to hold hair, but to embellish. Clearly 6 matching pair are not necessarily the case in assorted but mostly they were. If it is this specific look you are going for, these are what I remember. In case it's the design, use pliers to squeeze the metal crimp in the center of each one until it's flat, but don't do it so much that you cut the elastic and be gentle putting them in.
