I really like this as it is not sticky or like a gel. It is a thick cream that with a small amount I can shape my short hair. It gives a bit of shine and makes my hair look nicer. I think it would be fine for long hair as well. It is not something to hold your hair in place though, if that is what you are looking for.

Works for Me!
I have very long hair that's already thick. But today, most women want super-thick hair, luxurious hair, and I'm one of those women. This works well on my hair, leaving it feeling and looking even thicker and more luxurious than it already is. The cream can feel a bit tacky to the touch, but it's not at all tacky or sticky on the hair. Just apply to wet hair and dry and style as you usually do. I love this, and I'll be ordering more.
