Bristles are firm but not too hard

This has been very helpful to reach areas that a handheld loofa cannot. Also, the pumice stone on the smaller body brush does a good job at removing dead skin without leaving heels and elbows irritated. I treated mine with teak oil to help with maintaining their color (since teak has a tendency to fade over time).
