This is expensive but I am glad I bought it
This is expensive but I am glad I bought it. It is great for smoothing out frizzies, especially after a too harsh perm!! I wouldn't think it is too good for making curls on long hair because your hair can tangle easily in it and the barrel gets VERY hot...making it too easy to burn your hair. My hair is below shoulder length and I use it to smooth my hair(which makes it look shinier), and add some curl/wave to the ends (just making sure I don't wind the hair around more than once around the barrel). I bought the 3/4 inch and loved it so much that i now bought the 1 inch too, (since i let my hair grow a little longer).

I have been very pleased with the Tion brand of hot brushes. I have every size - 3/4", 1", and 1 1/4." They are on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.
