Love this shea butter!
This raw ivory shea butter came in a plastic bag enclosed in another resealable envelope. I weighed the shea butter in the plastic bag with my kitchen scale; I received the full 16 ounces. The butter is a nice ivory color with a really smooth and creamy texture. The butter is easy to spread on my skin as is and leaves it feeling soft and moisturized. I whipped some up with an equal part if coconut oil and a splash of rice bran oil. I was able to whip it with my handheld mixer without heating or melting the butter. It came out really fluffy and feels great on my skin.<br /><br />In the past I have purchased yellow shea butter in a big block. This ivory shea butter seams less oily, less waxy, and has a lighter smell than the butters I have purchased in the past. I greatly prefer this butter to those. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I would definitely recommend this product, and I would also repurchase in the future when I have used this shea butter.

Soft, creamy, smells good (a very slight chocolate or nutty smell), no greasy feeling left behind on my hands. In comparison to other shea butter products I have purchased in the past, this one beats them all. This product will now be my choice for balms, salves, hair conditioning, and as a simple yet very effective moisturizer for dry skin.<br /><br />It was delivered in a well sealed clear bag, inside the packaging, which was inside a bubble wrap packaging.<br /><br />~I received this product at a promotional discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.~<br />~The opinion expressed is based on my personal experience using this product.~
GREAT for DIY Salves and Ointments!!
This Shea Butter is great! I use Shea Butter for DIY ointments and salves and it mixed great with all my other oils (essential and carrier oils). The smell isn't the best Shea butter I've smelled before but it still works great! This came in a plastic bag inside the packaging which made it nice for getting the butter out without making a BIG mess. Also its nice and solid (not crumbly) but also is able to be formed. Good for dry skin
I use Shea butter for making lotion bars and this shea butter was great for what I needed! It is great for skin and I've been very impressed with it. It has helps my dry skin so much. I love to take hot baths and showers so my skin is always dry when I get out. I use the lotion bars I make with this afterwards and it makes my skin feel great. Even using this alone helps as well. I would recommend this product to others who want to try shea butter out or to use in making handmade lotions or other hair and skin DIY projects.<br /><br />Disclosure: I received this product discounted however this in no way influenced my review.
