Hard to beat this beard trimmer!

I’ve had numerous rechargeable beard trimmers over the years but I just bought my second one of these (slightly different model number but definitely the same device) and I’m so happy with the product that I just had to write this review. (I am not being paid or compensated in any way, shape or form for this review.) A beard trimmer is the only thing I ever shave with. (Blade and electric razors give me razor burn and PFB.) I’ve used this product every other (sometimes every 3rd or 4th) day for 5 years. I use most of the attachments. The nose hair trimming attachment works great for when my nose hair starts to tickle (it’s never nicked me or pulled a hair out). The longest comb attachment is perfect for when my goatee gets too long - takes it right back down to my preferred length. Some of the shorter comb attachments are great for manscaping - although some care needs to be taken in the southern regions. Occasionally, I’ll snap on the foil shaver - for those times when my wife needs my face to be stubble-free (if you know what I mean ;) And it’s pretty much flawless when I use it without any attachments as a substitute for a razor/shaver. I would guess that it leaves my stubble about half a millimeter long (~ 1/64”) and the only time it ever pulls a whisker is when I’m shaving against the grain when my whiskers are too long. (In those situations, I need to cut with the grain first, then I can go against the grain to get a closer shave.)<br /><br />The fact that it comes with a 5 year warranty is a big selling point. My first one lasted 5 years and 3 days (Is there a timer in there, or what?!) but I’m OK with that. (Obviously - I replaced it with the exact same thing!) $8 per year for shaving is pretty great! I can’t really give any specifics on the battery life but it seems pretty awesome to me. When it was new, I charged it about every 3 weeks or so. As time went by, that went to two weeks, then one, and for the past few months, I’ve had to plug it in and charge it after every use. I was going to try to replace the LiON battery but I couldn’t figure out how to take it apart without destroying the rubber grip around the handle. Speaking of the handle, the grip is so good that it’s hard to get whiskers off of it; I have to use the little cleaning brush that’s included. Needless to say, it has never slipped out of my hand; I’ve never dropped it. For those who are wondering, it runs off battery only. If it’s out of juice, you can’t just plug it in and use it.<br /><br />If you’ve read the reviews on other beard trimmers, you know it’s a mixed bag out there... under powered, poor battery life, dies after a couple weeks, pulls hair out, etc. Not this one. Highly recommended.
