Simply hand fans meant to keep you cool in the hot humidity of Japanese (and American!) summers. Nothing fancy,<br />just a white paper cover, but constructed traditionally, so that is why I gave this product 5 stars.

I needed something to grab at home when hot flashes hit. I was tired of replacing batteries in mini handheld fans. Decided to go old school! These are great fans. Well made and they move a lot of air when I most need it. Highly recommend!

Handy fans for every day
I have several of these stashed around the house for sweltering afternoons. They are easy to hold and use and very affordable. Perfect for taking the edge off when hot weather gets you down. Recommended!
Excellent set of three paddle fans. Well constructed and with multiple uses.
The obvious use of these fans are for cooling yourself in hot conditions. For that purpose, they work really well and have comfortable handles while pushing a lot of air.<br /><br />In my case, I bought these to use in my cooking as an advanced Home and Personal Chef while making rice for use in sushi. To make the rice properly and shiny, once the rice has been cooked, it is spread in a big bowl or Japanese Hangiri made for the purpose, and then a mixture of Japanese Vinegar and sugar are added to the rice while cutting through the rice to mix. During this process, the fan is in constant use, cooling the rice with room temerature gusts of air which leaves the rice with a slightly shiny surface, while remaining sticky and PERFECT for making various Sushi's.<br /><br />Having three in the set means I probably will never have to buy any again. They are strong and should last indefinitely unless damaged somehow.<br /><br />For me, these are a clear FIVE STAR winner, and I'm really happy to have found them available on Amazon.
