Truth be told, it was too long for my tastes, so I cut off a good 10 inches and still have enough for a nice long age-appropriate pony tail. I just used a thinning shears to get it to the length I wanted, then trimmed it in a soft V shape. I used my straightening iron to bend some curl into the pony tail, and I curled the wrap around part kind of into a tight curl. That way, it wraps around the top of the pony tail much easier and stays in place. A very nice human hair piece at a great price.
