This is the greatest thing since sliced bread
I used this on my 4 year old boy who is starting to get squirmy about sitting in place, but I park a phone or ipad in front of a his seat and snip away. He couldn't hold it in his hands, but I don't have him do that anyway. I place the phone eye level when I need him to look straight, and on the floor when I need him to look down. Note, I'm not a pro so it takes me a long time to cut. Previously I'd use the usual smock but hair got all over the stool. Plus I prefer cutting outside because I don't want to sweep inside or in the garage, but it blows everywhere and makes an even bigger mess. With this, I can still do it outside just fine, but next time I'll try it in the bathroom. The neck size is too large for him but it worked well enough. I felt it was sturdy enough for this light usage, and it popped out and back in to a compact form easily. I'm kind of confused by the instructional photos but it worked great anyway. I haven't tried this on an adult, but for my usage on kids, I highly recommend.
A little awkward if you are cutting your own hair
Its a good product and I will keep it, but I cut my own hair, and because it is so wide that tends to make the items slant forward and spill the hair out the front. I just have to watch it, and empty the hair out fairly often. If someone else were cutting my hair (or vice versa) it would be perfect.
