I will first start off by saying that I was extremely wary about purchasing this item but I am so glad I did. For all my people who have thick, curly, and impossible hair this brush will make your life so much easier. It is very easy to use, the on and off/ temperature buttons are easily found on the side of the brush and it even comes with a LED screen that shows you the temperature! Not only does it come nicely packaged in a magnetic box it also comes with a quilted pouch that can be used to store the brush. Did I mention that the brush heats up to 450 degrees fahrenheit within a minute! I sectioned my hair and ran the brush through, typically it would take me an hour or more to straighten my hair but with the brush it was cut down to 35 minutes. The brush is definitely a great buy, it'll save you time, and effort.
Wonderful for moderate or less curly hair
This is a good straightener. I have very curly hair. Getting that hair tamed is quite an undertaking. I loved the idea of having a brush and straightener in one. The hard plastic exterior is very durable.<br /><br />My hair resembles a puff ball in it's natural state without any products in it. So, straightening my viciously curly hair is quite an undertaking. This straightener did get my hair straight. Although, it was a puffy straight. After I applied a product, The puffiness went away. A normal flat straightener is able to achieve a non puffy straight without the need for products.<br /><br />I will say that this worked perfectly for my daughter who has moderately curly hair. This brush hair straightener gave her a flat straight look with only one or two swipes. By these findings, I would say this is ideal for people with moderate or less curly hair.<br /><br />Using this straightener is extremely simple. The LED light up screen makes the screen easy to see the temperature and other controls. The buttons easily press on the handle. This straightener also headed up to the full temperature in 1 or 2 minutes. After I unplugged it, it took around 5 minutes for it to completely cool down.<br /><br />The quality of this straightener is exceptional. The hard plastic material is extremely durable and does stand up against my vigorous daily use. The brush itself is very strong. Even while attempting to get it through my puff ball of hair, the brush did not bend or break. The cord is also a long cord that is very thick. All of the connections between each of the pieces is quite substantial. I did not feel any movement between any of them.<br /><br />Overall, I would recommend this hair straightener if you have moderate or less curly hair. The quality of the construction and design is exceptional. I rate this 5/5 stars. I did receive this at a discounted or free rate for my honest and unbiased opinion, but all opinions expressed are my own.
Worked well for curly hair.
I own several straightening products but never owned a ceramic straightener comb brush. Some of the previous straightening products I have used have included a blow dryer and straightening iron. The blow dryer takes the most amount of time and the straightener reacquired me to constantly brush my hair before trying to straighten (I have really curly/wavy hair). I found that this Hairika Ceramic Straightener brush cut down my straightening time. I used it on dry hair with a bit of product. First I brushed my hair out and then took small sections and brushed the straightener comb through my hair. It was pretty simple and worked well. I found that it took away the frizzy look and still left a little volume (I don't normally aim for stick straight hair). I was pleased with the results. Also it was simple to turn on (just hold the on button for 3 seconds). The + and - are used to increase and decrease the temperature. The one downside I found was while using the brush I would accidentally press the + and - and change the temperature. The screen was easy to use to see what the temperature was. It would be beneficial to be able to have a hold button to lock a temperature. Overall I am pleased with this purchase and will be using it to cut my straightening time when I choose to straighten my hair. I also appreciated the nice packaging (see pictures). The brush came in a nice box with lid, some pins to help hold the hair that is not being straightened, a bag for storage and clear instructions. I will caution that using any straightening products too often can damage hair. I straighten hair only once a week and make sure to use appropriate hair products to reduce the heat damage. Love it.
Straightens within 20 min. Hair use to take over an hour. Love it.. Only issue for me is that it leave my hair frizzy. But everything seems to do that for me so I'm happy with the product.
I think this worked better with my longer hair
I think this worked better with my longer hair. With that being said I do not think it will replace my traditional flat iron. I still use it all the time and I love this for touch ups and hard reach spots!
